HSS is working exclusively in partnership with Health Enterprise East to formally accredit and commercialise its Tumour Staging Software – StageCRAFT, to enable its use as an approved Medical Device.
StageCRAFT is an award-winning software tool, created to assist the radiologist in the process of staging common malignancies. Its purpose is to reduce the need to refer to books or rely on memory, thus reducing potential for error or inconsistency. In addition it can speed up the process of reporting CT, MRI and PETCT studies.
StageCRAFT uses the latest version (7) of the internationally recognised TNM system (developed by the Union for International Cancer Control.) Simple checkbox-clicking gives an instantaneous TNM stage and group stage.
The current version of StageCRAFT can be used for the following malignancies:
• Lung • Lymphoma • Oesophagus
• Renal • Endometrium • Bladder
• Rectum • Prostate • Cervix
StageCRAFT was invented by Dr Martin Crowe, Consultant Radiologist from Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Trust.
StageCRAFT is available on an enterprise basis, as an integrated module of HSS’ UK market leading Radiology Information System – CRIS. It is also available, internationally, on a single user basis as a stand-alone application for radiologists.
